I'll try to keep this as brief as possible. I recently moved to Arizona from California thinking that I was going to start a new life away from a lot of people that were actively trying to make things hellish for me. Unfortunately, as soon as I got here, it was clear that I was here for other reasons, and the situation quickly began falling apart.

I have three roommates currently; one is blind, and it is her house we are living in. The other two are a couple, that have seemingly been actively trying to pull a fast one on the blind roommate, using her and her Social Security Income for their own gain, ignoring household bills in favor of their own personal expenses, and from what we can tell, they are planning to leave her high and dry as soon as they are back on their feet. She has become aware of what they are trying to do, and after a few late-night talks, we have decided that we need to start trying to make it on our own and preparing for the worst.

Here's the catch, though: Everything is falling apart, and when they leave they will be taking the only running car with them, leaving me with no way to get to my job. I am applying to become a respite worker for the blind roommate, and we have a small income from my job at the moment, but I have only just taken over the household finances to find that a couple bills were past due, like our veterinary bill and our cable bill (internet). Currently, both of the other roommates are out of town for a couple weeks (possibly longer) and left us behind with hardly any food, the cable company threatening to shut off our internet, bills going to collection agencies, a broken A/C unit in the middle of Arizona summer, and no way of getting any of these taken care of.

The goal of this campaign is to raise money to dig ourselves out of debt, not starve, and if we are very VERY lucky, find a cheap little putt-putt car I can use to run errands and get to work in the event that I can no longer borrow theirs.
