Area 51 at the Minnesota Fringe!
Area 51 is a brand-spanking new short play being produced by 11th Hour Productions for the Minnesota Fringe Festival ... and beyond!
About the show:
Leo and Haley are lost in the desert just outside of the mysterious Area 51. As they wait for a sign, they begin to question whether they are headed in the right direction, both on their journey and in their lives.
About us:
We are a small (but mighty!) group of theater folks based out of Des Moines, Iowa. We are looking to represent the many, many, MANY talented people in the Iowa theater community in the best way possible. We are:

We want to give you stuff!
We are asking for some help, but we definitely want to give back. You get some cool stuff for giving a little cash:
- $1 and up: literally and amount, you get a Producer credit in the program, and anywhere else we can put it!
- $20: a program signed by the cast and writer + producer credit
- $40: a sweet t-shirt in addition to the credit and program.
- $75: a limited edition poster signed by the cast + rad t-shirt + signed program + producer credit. Whoa, that’s a lot of good stuff!
- $150 (and beyond!): a casual hang out with the cast for a chat and a drink + all the good stuff mentioned before. Wanna talk about the show, the creative process, or the real Area 51? Here’s a chance to do it with us! But guys, we have to limit this to the Des Moines area, so if you do donate from outside the metro, you gotta come to us.
About the Minnesota Fringe Festival:
It is one of the largest fringe festivals in the country, with about 170 groups performing over 11 days. Check out www.fringefestival.org for more information.

How Your Donation Helps:
With making any show happen, there will inevitably be costs involved. We carefully chose the players involved (below) to give you more ‘bang for your donation buck’. By helping Area 51, you are also helping local organizations that support the arts and give back in their own ways!
Production Expenses: Des Moines Onstage (www.desmoinesonstage.org), home to DM Young Artist Theatre, will be providing Area 51 a ‘home base’. Part of your donation goes to them for space rentals and supports their organization’s mission. Check them out!
Travel Expenses: Though Minneapolis is only a few hours north, it can still get expensive to get a production on the road. The show will take place over 2 weekends- which means fuel expenses, lodging and travel expenses for the entire cast & crew during that time.
Promotion & Swag Expenses: The hustle to get people in the seats is major at the Fringe. From printed flyers to help promote our show times each night to limited-edition t-shirts and memorabilia, there will be added costs to promote and commemorate Area 51 for friends and strangers alike.
We want our Area 51 swag to help also make sure that future artists are taken care of, too!
Future Productions: We want to bring this show back home and do a show each in Des Moines and Davenport. Any extra funds will go a long way in helping to make that a reality!
