Home Away from Home Animal Rescue is a privately funded safe place for abused and neglected animals from the local area. We take on many animals with many different illnesses, conditions and levels of exposure to people and other animals.
We spay or nueter all of our animals and make sure they have shots, are wormed and have appropriate supplements for any illnesses that they may have. And we pay for it all out of our own pockets with very few private donations.
Because of this we are asking for donations to help provide care for the cats and dogs that we help find forever homes for.
One of our special cases is our American Bully, Pig. She was found at a camp site starving and struggling to thrive because she is 100% deaf. Pig is now 3 years old and makes everyone smile that she comes into contact with. But, even Pig isn't perfect. She has been plagued with hip displasia for a little over a year. Through trial and error we found a supplement that gives her almost full relief from her symptoms: Winstons Joint Formula. However, this miracle treatment doesn't come without a price tag. It costs $110 a month for the twice daily 3 pill dose. With other expenses, we are currently unable to afford the treatment that Pig so desperately needs to make her quality of life every bit as wonderful as she deserves.
Spaying and neutering animals can also have a hefty price tag. Currently, we have 2 dogs and 1 cat that need to be spayed and 3 dogs and 2 cats that need to be neutered. We can get each of these procedures done for roughly $60 per animal.
Now, I ask you to please consider donating to this Animal Rescue to help us achieve our mission and better the life of our precious critters. Any donation no matter how small would be greatly appreciated.
