Slutwalk Workshop Fund

For 2016, we have an ambitious project we would like to start planning now. Without giving too much away, it will be a workshop of panels and discussions featuring several community builders. Please help us make this dream a reality! If you picked up a pin, or you like what we are doing, donate your loose change to us! Part of the fund will cover merch, but more importantly, overhead, such as space rental, for the workshop. If enough is raised, we promise to keep Slutwalk Ottawa going into a year-round grass roots organization and supply more feminist merch at our events!

Rape culture manifests itself in many forms, from victim blaming to slut-shaming to much more. We’re here to challenge the shaming and blaming of victims of sexual violence. We’re here to say that it is never the victim’s fault.
All are welcome to attend. We do not require any dress code. We do not require that you come to SWO with the intention of reclaiming the word ‘slut’; all we ask is that you support challenging and ending rape culture.
