This is our daughter Maisie (14 months old).
she suffers with focal frontal lobe epilepsy, global delays and a rare genetic disorder called shox depletion.
Maisie at 7 months old suffered her very first tonic clonic seizure which has spiralled to her having multiple seizures tonic clonic and vacant these seizures can accour any time day or night, there is no pattern to her seizures they can vary from one a day to 40+ per day. But despite her difficulties not only with epilepsy and shox she is the most happiest & loving child you could wish for and we as parents are thankful to have such an amazing daughter in our lives.
We are starting this go fund me page so we can buy Maisie medical equipment for night time. We wish to raise enough to buy her a seizure mattress and a apnea machine. Night times for Maisie are the most worrying as Maisie's seizures can cause death. For each parent with an epileptic baby/child this probably is there worst fears.
Having a seizure mattress and an apnea machine would make life that little less stressful at night for the whole family, being sleep deprived is exhausting not only for Maisie but for us also, having this equipment in her room would give us all peace of mind and can save her life.
