Gwinnett County Needs Mass Transit

As a county resident of Gwinnett County   and a rider of mass transit here in Georgia, I know I am in a unique position to understand the need for a betterand larger mass transit system than we now have available to we the citizens of Gwinnett Couty. To that end I am asking for your financial help to help bring this issue to the November of 2016 ballot in a binding referendum for the voters to approve.
Why do our fellow citizens of this county lack true commuting mobility. This matter has been put off by our county commission for many years. If this does make it to the ballot next, then when, in 2018,  2020, or never, the time is now to change the position of mass transit by our county commissioners.
As our county contiues to grow to over a million residents in the near futer, we need to be proactive on transportation. Bus transit, which we have now on a very limited basis, is not the answer; surveys have shown that attitudes toward bus transportation are at the bottom of options presented. We are a leading county in Georgia and we should not accept anything less.
With your help a campaign will begin to garner signatures of register voters in petition,  along with media expenditures to place pressure on our county leader to place this on the 2016 ballot.
