Laurie's spouse Ron of over 34 years passed away unexpectedly on July 15. 2015 from stage 4 lung cancer.
Ron served in the navy for 18 years including service as a chaplain
He was battling severe medical conditions for 18 years and
His spouse Laurie quit her job over 8 years ago to provide full time care.
Laurie at this time has no income, no savings, no personal Social Security income until 2020, no continuation of Ron's retirements, no continuation of Ron's disability SSI, lost the car and the life insurance policy was canceled.
The only funding in place for her was a very small death policy which in only enough to cover the death expenses.
She lives is Phoenix Arizona and just in August received the state medical insurance and her medical conditions are only now being addressed.
She must remain in Phoenix thru at least December for the medical diagnostics and treatments.
Through the limited resources of friends and family she has covered rent only through August.
She is fighting for the continuation of Ron's military disability retirement, Ron's disability SSI, or his Arizona state retirement. All indication is that it will take at least 6 month (to February 2016) before there any of these income sources might materialize.
Additionally she is unable to work.
She is planning on staying with friends or family out Arizona but cannot consider that until after January 2016 due to current medical needs.
She is looking for $10,000 to cover only rent and food for 6 months
