Chatham Robbery Delays Soft Opening

Lure Chaussures Boutique in the Chatham area that was set to have its Grand Opening this Saturday 6/13/15 was burglarized at approx. 12:41am this morning, 30 police officers were on the scene including the chief and sergeant of that district were trying to investigate, and will be on the scene fingerprinting later today. Since more $300 worth of merchandise was stolen this case has been classified a felony and there are no suspects in custody at this time, the investigation is on-going. The owner Contessa Houston whose an active member in the community and sits on the Board of Directors as an active member for both Susan G Komen Breast Cancer Research and Chicago State University is devastated and still in shock. This is an unfortunate situation and my heart goes out to her, it is a shame that you can’t have anything in this city, the fact that she did this on her own, not with a business loan, she  works a 9-5 every day and spent her wages on building her brand just to have someone take it from her 2 days before opening…  Please help me get the word out maybe someone in the neighborhood saw something, maybe someone can assist her give her a little relief.
