Our dear friend Wes Barr fell 15 feet from a forklift boom bucket while building a house yesterday . He is self employed and has no health insurance. He had a hole in the small intestine, but they were able to repair it. He has a laceration on his liver. They did a brain scan last night and that came back good. He does have a concussion though. He also has a bruised lung, broken nose and broken wrist. They have a tube down his throat to drain his stomach because his bowels aren't working again yet which they said is totally normal and they will remove after he starts to have some signs of movement. So with that said, he is actually doing pretty well. He has been up walking twice today, but has a long road to recovery ahead of him. Wes is an amazing person who helps everyone he can. He volunteers whenever he can. He attends fundraisers whenever possible. He is a family man with a wife and and three children. His family also lost their home to a fire several years ago and are just getting that finished up.
