OVERVIEW
"Our popular culture reinforces the idea that teens are disconnected from their family and are little to no contribution to their community. We're out to change that fallacious idea one young mind at a time! Help us establish our inaugural “Youth Experiencing Success (YES) Leadership Academy” to serve young ladies and gentlemen as they embark on their life as teens & young adults in the Hampton Roads Area, of Virginia.
As little as $5 donation can help toward sending a high school student (rising 9th – 12th grades) to the leadership academy and can change his or her ideas about what they can accomplish for the rest of their life.
We're reserving 30% of our seats (30 teens) for teens, from across the country, whose parents are challenged with paying the registration fee for the YES Leadership Academy Residential Summer Camp. Without your assistance these teens would not have an opportunity to attend such a spectacular summer camp. "Empower us to make this vision a reality with a donation to this project today!"
MORE ABOUT THE PROJECT
Over 91% of teens say they fall victim to fear of not fitting in or peer pressure – this fact prompted us (Living Abundantly Youth Vision) to dig deeper into a solution. This is where we started to envision Youth Experiencing Success (YES) Leadership Academy. “YES Leadership Academy” is a Life-Changing Residential Summer Camp for World Changing Teens! We provide a stimulating and enriching residential experience for high school students from around the country.
This Life Changing Summer camp includes: Six (6) night accommodations on the beautiful, historical campus of Hampton University. Three (3) healthy, full meals daily, fresh fruit & healthy snacks daily. Powerful & Engaging Interactive Sessions, Recreational Activities, and a Souvenir Polo Shirt. Our amazing week is highlighted with a Public Speaking Contest, Field trips to Virginia State Capital and to a Newport News City Council Meeting. The students will also host their very own Networking event, a Social event, and their Closing Ceremony Luncheon.
An exciting Leadership experience that provides many inspiring and thought-provoking benefits such as:
Strategies for Success: Learn the professional secrets of preparing for college and or a career.
Financial Bootcamp: Learn what every student needs to know about money, how to avoid the debt trap and how to invest.
Executive Communication: Public Speaking is the number one fear in America. Learn the skills necessary to communicate effectively as a leader.
Conflict Resolution: Conflict is a fact of life. Students will learn how to resolve conflict situations.
Launch Yourself: Personal Branding: No one can be better at being you than you. Learn how to Define, Design and Deliver your true self.
Leadership Empowerment: Students will be inspired, encouraged and empowered to walk in their Greatness as leaders.
All on the on the beautiful, historical campus of Hampton University, in Hampton, Virginia.

Living Abundantly Youth Vision is a non-profit business that brings together the power of God, socialization, development, activities and individualized spiritual growth in comprehensive programs. Our programs are specially tailored for teens and young adults, ages 12-25, who want to live a life of integrity and walk in their Greatness.
The goal of YES Leadership Academy is empowering young leaders to impact the world around them. Through skills such as financial literacy, public speaking, and emotional literacy our students will be introduced to a model of leadership that encourages unity and self discovery. We inspire our students to strengthen their skills, discover their self worth and utilize their voices to become powerful leaders in their community. At YES Leadership Academy each and every student will develop the knowledge, skills, confidence, and community to take effective, inspired action on the issues that matter most to them.
We are passionate with creating memorable, positive teen experiences that change their outlooks for life. More times than not choices made at a young age effect someone’s life forever; we want to make sure these choices are made with significant thought and empowerment! So we ask again, please help us make this academy a reality so we can give the teens a summer of leadership & empowerment.
