Baja Missions Women's Ministry

In 2012, I went on my first mission trip with Baja Missions.  To say it was life changing would be an understatement.  Since 2012, I have been on 5 trips and currently have 2 more in the planning stages.  Our first goal was to build relationships between American and Mexican brothers and sisters.  As I grew closer to our family in Mexico, I realized that there is a need for women's ministry.   Women make up the majority of adults in each congregation - about 70%!  The goal for this program is cultivate unity in Christ and build relationships between members in each congregation as well as empower the women with new skills.  Our first trip in January 2015 was a huge success with small sewing and knitting classes and personal home visits.  Plans for the future include identifying strengths individually and in communities and providing workshops in nutrition, finance, knitting, and sewing.

To keep this mission work successful, we need donations for supplies.  Each woman that travels from the United States is responsible for paying for her own travel, food, and lodging.  These donations will be used to provide books, yarn, fabric, and other things needed for the classes throughout the year.  Thank you for your donation!
