RABBIT MEDICAL FUND

Donation protected
Zooh Corner Rabbit Rescue takes in mostly elderly, disabled and special needs rabbits. This means we are very familiar with our vet and her staff. . .all amazing, talented and compassioante people.

This also means we have exceptionally high vet bills; the rabbits we take in generally come to us in very bad shape and have had little to no vet care (or TLC, or proper care) throughout their entire lives. This is where fundraising comes in.

Medical Account Hard Hit--Help Needed! Since the end of April the bunnies have had some exceptionally tough illnesses and this has included MANY ER visits and several hospitalizaions---Satchmo, Luigi the Lemon, NO! Twinkle Star and Rufus have all been especially hard hit. (And this during the time of an unexpected (forced) move for Zooh Corner.)

Your help is once again very much needed. Please donate what you can; please be generous once again. It is imperative that we get our vet bill paid down (in case of other ERs).

TOTAL ER BILLS from April 20 - June 1  $6247

AMOUNT RAISING (to put on vet account) 1/3 TOTAL
$2082  (More is always better, but this is the minimum we need to put down)

*Those wishing to pay directly on account, via check, or via credit card/phone, please contact me directly.

THE BUNNIES!
This is Rufus Poofus Poofington "Rufus." He is disabled, unable to urinate on his own and must have his bladder expressed several times a day.  Poor Rufus was hit with a virulent urinary tract infection and one of his kidneys has become mineralized.
Satchmo (with Dr Sari Kanfer) was hospitalized due to abscesses and severe infection. He is due to have his leg amputated, but has had several significant set-backs along the way, including large vet bills.

NO! Twinkle Star is so tiny and the bun-wife to our older, front-toothess Jeeves. She was so ill with bloat she almost died. She had to have ER surgery, was not recovering well, and was hospitalized on IVs for nearly a week. Horrifyingly, when she was finally released to come home she bloated AGAIN and almost died---again. This time, we were able to avoid surgery after many days of high level hospitalization.

We are relieved to report that NO! Twinkle Star seems to have turned the corner and is doing MUCH better, as can be seen here - being grooomed by her husbun, Jeeves.

Luigi the Lemon is tiny and has ongoing health issues. A couple weeks ago he became gravely ill and was hospitalized on oxygen, needing high level medical care. His gut has always been an issue, but this was worse - dropped temperature, much pain, drooling---serious dental issues causing him to crash.
We are happy to report that he is much better now, thanks to Dr Kanfer and the awesome staff at Exotic Animal Care Center.

The bunines above have needed exceptional medial care and/or hospitalization over the last two months. Our vet bill has skyrocketed and we are in dire help of donations to get it paid down and paid off.  And this is in addition, of course, to the regular fundriasing we must do to pay just the monthly bills like rent, hay and utilities!

Your support, shares, love, prayers---and donations---are greatly appreciated!

MR FUZZ SAYS THANK YOU!!
Mr Fuzz is just one of the elder buns in Zooh Corner's Sanctuary Rabbit program. He thanks all of you for caring---without your ongoing support he would not be here.   Your time and money matter!
