Susie and Barbie have been battling for their lives with Ovarian Cancer for the past 4 years. The medical bills as you can imagine are astronomical and neither of these special women are able to work anymore to support themselves.
Barbie is currently in hospice and has a teenage son she fears she may be leaving to complete his last year of high school without her support and guidance. She wants desperately to leave him a little money to get started into college. Barbara was a member of the Women's Council of Realtors in Sarasota, creator of the popular Miss Barbie's Princess Tea Parties and a supporter of many local charities including Suncoast Children's Charities.Barbie has completed 2 rounds of chemo, 1 round of Alternative Healing Methods and now is in Hospice with the goal to be as comfortable as possible surrounded by loved ones. We are praying for a miracle and her getting to see her youngest son graduate from HS in 2016!
Susie is fighting with the insurance companies because she doesn't quite qualify for public assistance with all her medical bills. She's said, "As long as I can pay my Oncologist then I have hope!" Susie has always been so generous in giving back to many fundraising causes; The Children's Miracle Network, her Pink Angel Boutique, Save the Ta Ta's, and Susan G Komen were 3 of her biggest causes! Susie finished her 2nd round of chemo but just found out her levels are still too high. We are also praying for a miracle and for her comfort.
