We've seen fire and we've seen rain...
We're the James Taylor Church... St Paul's Episcopal Church in Jeffersonville, IN has literally seen fire (1981) and we've seen rain (1937 flood) which have destroyed portions of our facility including our pipe organ and a replacement organ. Our small dedicated congregation recently restored the church (on a shoestring budget) from the residual fire and flood damage to its former Victorian look.
We have unexpectedly been given a pipe organ to complete our restoration efforts - but it will cost $45,000 to disassemble, move and install it in our church. Once installed the instrument will have a replacement value of $160,000. We will do much of the work ourselves but there are parts to make and specialized tasks only professionals can accomplish. We are able to raise about a little more than half of that within the parish.
We need your help for as James Taylor sang we "won't make it any other way!"
