We stand with Haiti

In response to the recent Hurricane that hit Haiti, our organization (HACSO, Inc.) has joined with other local community and partner organizations, to collect and ship much needed supplies to the areas affected by the storm.  HACSO, a social service organization was founded 42 years ago to serve the low-income and immigrant community in Rockland County.  A majority of the people served by HACSO is of Haitian decent and most of them have left behind everything in Haiti, to pursue the promise of a better life for themselves and their families.  Several of our loved ones are personally affected by Hurricane Matthew and have lost everything they once.  We have taken on a mission #westandwithhaiti.  It's a simple call to action, not started by a large organization, but by a group of people who care deeply about helping their brothers and sisters.  HACSO has become a central drop-off point for items such as non-perishable food, water, medical supplies and hygiene items.  We are collecting for a period of 2 weeks, thereafter, we will be shipping these items directly to Haiti.  We have formed partnerships with local churches and civic organizations, who will collect the shipment and distribute to the affected areas.  We need approximately $3000 to pay for the container and shipment of items.  Please, we will take every dollar donated for the purpose of making sure that our family members obtain the much needed support and relief that they need.  Would you join us?  Any amount can and will make a difference.  Please reach deep and assist where you can.  We also need help sorting the items and preparing the items for shipment.  Please contact HACSO for information.  Thank you for standing with us as #westandwithhaiti.
