Hi, I'm Citlali Perez: school weirdo, bookworm, thespian, and Denny's lover (see image above). Growing up in a neighborhood where not many kids are well-behaved, privileged, or get average grades has made me grateful of my life and academics.

Ever since I stepped into school, I took advantage of the knowledge and activities it had to offer me; I am the vice-president of the Speech and Debate team, in the MESA (Math, Engineering, Science Achievement) club, veteran of the San Francisco Shakespeare Theater, and an honor student.

I have recently been sent a letter by the Ambassador Leaders-formally known as the People to People Leadership Program-saying that they have a spot for me at their Summit for a week in Massachusetts! I would get to explore Boston, service communities, tour Harvard's campus, create invaluable memories, and more!

Unfortunately, it's not free.

The money raised would be used for the trip to Massachusetts (and making sure I get there safely), the deal that the program offers (food, housing, etc.), and any extra costs that may arise at the last minute. Space is limited, so I have to register by February 15th.

To be given an opportunity to visit one of America's most prestigious colleges would be an amazing educational experience that will be forever etched in my memory book.
