NonProfit StartUp Cost - DREAM Complex

In March 2018, DREAM Complex attempted to raise $30,000 in start-up cost for our nonprofit and mission. We fell short $27,345, however, the $2,655 that we raised helped us tremendously. DREAM Complex used those funds to host 6 workshops, file our 501c3 status (we're currently pending), hired a legal advisor, and was able to provide some material for our students.
To expand our reach, we're STILL dreaming complex and need your help to do so. DREAM Complex is in need of $41,250 to further our mission for the next 12-months. This year we are really putting our resources to work so we started with what and who we know. So, we started up a small tour this year to teach Youth at Dance Studios we associate with: Fusion Dance Academy, Outkast Academy, and TheTHRONE. We are hoping to continue our tour with Get Down District, Future Shock LA, The Graff Lab, Tantrum of Boogiezone, and IMMABeast Kids.
To expand our, reach we are currently waiting to have a meeting with LAUSD to see how we integrate and may be of service in middle and high schools within South Los Angeles areas such as; Compton, Lynwood, Carson, South Central, Watts, Huntington Park, and Torrance.

What is DREAM COMPLEX?
DREAM COMPLEX is a traveling interactive
after school arts program. Bringing a diverse learning experience to inner-city youth, we introduce the thought of "Artpreneurship". This allows the youth to explore their creativity through arts such as dance, film, entrepreneurship and along with components of spirituality.

OUR MISSION:
To create a social movement that inspires our youth to consciously think outside of their box, search for their passion, and build their community and the economy. The learning experience our youth gains, can and will literally change their lives by inspiring their God-given gifts within them. By creating a positive and safe environment to express themselves, it will help ignite the youth’s entrepreneurial spirits.

What do we do?
Our interactive arts program engages students through two components of education, Academia & Artistry:
Artistry
DANCE & CHOREOGRAPHY
Teaching hip-hop history, multiple dance styles, choreography & industry expertise.
FILM & PHOTOGRAPHY
Teaching digital media such as cinematography, scriptwriting, editing, production and directing.
Academia
ENTREPRENEURSHIP
Teaching how creating a business plan, crowdfunding, finances, social media marketing & branding.
SPIRITUALITY PRACTICES
Teaching how to meditate daily, understanding the law of attraction, doing journal sessions & I AM affirmations.
*students are also required to have a homework session before starting DREAM workshop*

Why WE SERVE the youth?
DREAM Complex’s goal is to foster a commitment to young people that will promote pro-social friendships, develop strong interpersonal skills, reassert a sense of hope in their futures and the future generations to come.
Only through personal relationships can a sense of individual responsibility be reestablished that will give youth the commitment to follow through on the path to adulthood with a sense of pride and accomplishment.
Art, in its various forms, are the gateways into making this happen...seamlessly.

What will my contribution fund?
When successful, this GoFundMe will cover the first six months in start-up cost for D.R.E.A.M Complex development: hosting workshops for up to 250 students, faculty wages, state of the art equipment, youth necessities, transportation & travel expenses, marketing & advertising, summer programs and more.
