This August, I am returning to India to work once again with a team who is doing so much in the way of counter-human-trafficking in Northern India and to spend time with the girls who are finding refuge and restoration in their safe house.
Am I Scared? Yes.
Am I Overwhelmed by the idea of it? Yes.
Trusting God to do the impossible through our team? Yes.
On this trip we are planning to be focusing our time on the people who work day in and day out with the girls in the safe houses. We have been and will continue to be trained here in different methods of bringing restoration to victims of trafficking and trauma in order to pass that knowledge onto these amazing women when we go. We also hope to give the house moms a small break from their work and bring some fun and hope for the girls.
Even though I have gone before, the heaviness of what we are stepping into is unavoidable.
1 out of every 5 children on the planet lives in India.
India is considered the hub for human trafficking in Asia.
India is the most dangerous country to be born a girl.
In order to go, I am deseparately going to need your prayers and, if you are able, please consider partnering with me in this trip financially. The cost to travel there is $3000, with most of the money going towards airfare. A chunk of the cost has been taken care of through the selling of Freeset bags (something I plan on continuing - look for them soon on Facebook!), but a substantial amount still remains. If you would rather send a check, make it out to Bay Pointe Community Church and mail it directly to me (message me for the address).
