Warrior Athlete- Helping Veterans
My name is David. I'm a two-time military police combat veteran and Certified Personal Trainer. Coming home from those deployments was not easy, and after talking to many veterans from our nation's wars, I know this rings true for many others. The new mission of Warrior Athlete Fitness Training is to pull all veterans of foreign wars together through physical fitness. By fostering a strong community, we can help fight veteran suicide, help aid those suffering from PTSD or post-deployment stress, aid in the rehabilitation of service-connected disabilities, and much more.
Warrior Athlete symbolizes not only my struggle of returning home from deployment and trying to find myself but for every other service member who has gone down that difficult road. We stand by our brothers and sisters here at Warrior Athlete and once up and running will not only act as the premiere functional and tactical fitness gym in the Bangor area but will be a driving force in veteran transition and assistance by any means necessary. Proceeds could get a veteran in need a gym membership, help build a wheelchair ramp for a disabled veteran, financially help the family of a veteran who needs to make ends meet or be as simple as being there for our brothers and sisters in a time of need.
$10,000 would be the idea amount of money to help pay for gym memberships, gym equipment to accomodate more veterans, apparel and material to spread the word, training to better help veterans with specific needs, and an emergency fund to help those in crisis or help pay for the cost of receiving assistance.
Every penny counts and helps us come closer to helping out my brothers and sisters in arms so thank you in advance.
