Ryan's Heart

Donation protected
My son Ryan was born with a congenital birth defect call dextrocardia his heart was on the wrong side he had pulmonary Bands surgery at 3 days old and a partial Fontana surgery at age 1, were sent home with the bouncing baby boy the primary goal of his existence was to make sure that he received oxygenated blood as best they could with the abnormalities deformed along with his heart being on the wrong side. We would routinely see a heart specialist where he would go for an annual heart Cath to see if there was a way to improve his Oxygen saturation levels. In June of 2010, Ryan caught a flu like virus and went into congestive heart failure. Ryan was admitted and seen by the heart transplant team at Children's Memorial Hospital the older building not the new one downtown. We were told the only way he would leave the hospital was with a new heart. Ryan was placed on UNO's transplant list 5years ago June 2010. Ryan did good at the those five years he some bumps in forms of rejection during the 5 years and 3 episodic events of lung hemorrages. January 2015 Ryan went into heart failure again and this time the damage was so bad that they couldn't repair it or help the heart improve, he under went an implant procedure where they placed a Internal defribraltor in but Children's transplant team couldn't stop the failure si they made the decision to transfer him to Northwestern Memorial Hospital two weeks after his 18th birthday he was then put on the heart transplant list again and the kidney transplant at a time. The wait was longer than 7 days like in 2010 however the news is Ryan received another heart transplant as of May 15th, no kidney was needed another family was blessed to receive that. The bad news is the other organs of his body are not so happy so we've gone through pneumonia, partial lung collapse, low kidney perfusion, and are now facing Pancreatitis. Ryan goes to school while in hospital setting. He is a fighter, he's a junior and he has a very positive outlook. Ryan's goal is to get home "I just want to go home", well we've been renting this home we live in for the past 5 years and when I got home today unbenounced to me there was a Notice on the door saying that there is a Sheriff sale as of August 7th for the home in which we reside. I have a full time job, I am a mother of 5 beautiful boys never been a troublemaker anything to that nature, he does not have a criminal record he's one of the top of his class. I am trying to keep us in the home he is fighting so hard to come back to as a mom there is only so much you can do. This is my story so here it is we have been fighting we will continue to fight but I need help to win if you find it in your heart to help me do this so that the fight is not done in vain thank you my family thanks you Ryan thanks you.
