Nepal Village Reconstruction Fund
My name is Tenzing Dolma Sherpa, and I am a native of Colorado. My family is from the country of Nepal, my mother and father are both natives of two remote villages located in the Everest region. At 11:56 Am an earthquake with a magnitude of 7.8 hit Nepal. A earthquake with a magnitude starting from 7.0 to 7.9 only occurs about 20 times a year. This year it struck Nepal, and the only aftermath was a series of deaths and immense damage across the state. Those damages also including my family's home village Khumjung. Under this fund, I will be raising money for the damage of the remote villages located around the region of Nepal. There are approximatly 33-80 villages ranging in each district. Some of those include the Solukhumbu District, the Sindhupalchok District, and the Dolakha District. There are many more districts located in Nepal, and with the money collected, it will not only help the people rebuild their homes, it will also give them a chance to begin a new life .After the inflow of the hundreds of relief support, the only help the people need now is the help to bring back their home . This is something very close to my heart because Nepal isn't just a place where I'm from, it's a part of me. It's forevergoing to be my home and I am motivated to bring what was once a strong and beautiful country back on its feet.
