In the Company of Laureates

Write by the Rails and the Poetry Society of Virginia are co-hosting a gathering of current and former Poets Laureate from Virginia and it's bordering states on October 11 from 1 p.m. - 5 p.m. at the Hylton Center for the Performing Arts, in Manassas, VA.
This one-of-its-kind event is free and open to the public. The venue fee has been taken care of, but we still need about $3,000 to pay for administrative expenses such as audio-visual and janitorial support, regional marketing costs and hopefully a small honorarium to cover travel.
In addition to the Poets Laureate performances, we are planning other poe try-related activities, including a full schedule of teen poetry participation.
With national and state budgets concentrated on the sciences, there is a need to KEEP THE ARTS VISIBLE. I hope you can help this casue with a small donation.
