Georgia Lynn Stohr
Georgia lost her battle to cancer on may 27th, 2015.
She was a insperational teacher at LPHS for 20 years and truely touched every student and co-workers hearts. Not only was she a great teacher but she was an amazing mother to her sons Ryan and Jacob, and wife to her husband Jeff. Georgia was born Sept. 18, 1972 in Ottawa to George William and Rita Claire (Burke) Heth. She married Jeffrey Elmer Stohr on July 4, 1992 at the First Baptist Church in Ottawa. Georgia was a teacher at La Salle-Peru High School from 1994 to the present. She taught freshman honors English I classes, British literature, and yearbook I, II, III and IV. She was also involved with the La Salle-Peru High School Yearbook Club, the Journalism Team as well as the Teacher Evaluation Committee since inception. She had also been a member of the School Improvement Team. She was a member of First Baptist Church and attended Crossbridge Community Church in Ottawa. She was a nature lover, which was exhibited by her passion for gardening and landscaping. She was also a key member of the Operation Promise Program. Georgia was a devoted wife and mother and cherished her time spent with her family.
