Discrimination; Justice Denied
Hello my name is Gordon Cairns and I own U4 Justice co-operative. which is a NON PROFIT ORGANIZATION which was formed to help everyday people with cases of discrimintation and other like cases.
I worked as a school bus driver with the Eastern School District on Prince Edward Island with a perfect record for 21 years. I loved my job and I miss my students on a daily basis.
For my story back on October 13th 2005 I was ordered by my boss to allow students to stand on a bus in which I drove. On this bus there were 95 senior high students on a bus that was deemed as a 48 passenger bus. As a result I was suspended for 4 days for refusing to drive an unsafe bus; It was my right to refuse this unsafe work. During the same time I also reported to the Department of Education that a number of the school busses were unsafe to be on the road. Ultimately there were about 104 unsafe busses taken off the roads due to my work. I was forced to report any unsafe findings in my job criteria. My superintendent found out that I had gone behind his back and reported these busses and as a result I was discriminated against and blackmailed. I would like to be clear that because of all that was mentioned above my employer attempted to "pay me off" with federal money and misappropriated money which was fraud. This was considered to be "hush money" which I refused to take. My superintendent than informed me that I must go for a psychiatric assessment and if I did not obey I would be taken out of my work without him having any authority to ask me. These people tried to force me to go to an appointment because my superintendent who also has a psychology major "believed" that I would go "postal" on my bus. This was all because I was reporting unsafe activity to the Eastern School District this was deliberately fabricated to discredit me.
I am looking for donations to help me in my human rights defence which is coming up in September. I have been in contact with a few lawyers to assist me with my case. Any assistance you can provide would make me eternally grateful. Upon settlement I wish to pay my donations forward to U4 Justice organization.
