Help the Lompoc boxing gym

My name is Roy Baca, I run the Lompoc Boxing and Training Center in Lompoc,Ca. I've been involved with boxing for about 20 years now. I started as a coach/trainer and quickly began running the gym myself. Since I started with this our gym has had many homes, including our most recent move into our current location. I recieved my non-profit status about a year ago. The cost of keeping this gym open with rent and utilities alone has been a struggle. Most of the money comes out of my pocket. It is becoming harder to do this financially as I am not a wealthy man. Still I continue to make every effort to do so. Let me explain why. The city we live in is not that big and the options for youth programs and activities are very limited. That's why I got started with this boxing gym to begin wth, I wanted to be able to offer a safe place for the youths to go, where they can learn the basics of boxing,workout,build self esteem and learn a sense of accomplishment.It gives them a healthy and positive alternative to being on the streets, getting in trouble, and falling into gangs or drugs.I feel like I am helping out by being able to offer that to them. I have asked for help from the city but to no avail. So I have had to rely on my own resources,but like I said, I dont think I can do it much longer on my own. that's why I am asking for your help. Please help me save the Lompoc Boxing and Training Center. Your donations big or small is greatly appreciated. even if all you could afford is $1. every little bit helps.
