Recently, I spoke with Virginia on the phone. She was in Lutheran Hospital and was quite distraught that her electricity was going to be shut off. Her only concern was her boys and "critters," not herself.
You see, Virginia raised her sons alone, working diligently to ensure their needs were met. She is a loving, loyal, hard working woman, who never asks for assistance.
After having a stroke on May 31st, she has been unable to work. She has been in and out of the hospital since and is now in the final stages of cirrhosis. Today, her son, Connor, was told that it is time for hospice.
Her disability has been delayed, and she hasn't been drawing a regular check for over three months. Can you imagine how devastating this situation is for a family who was already struggling for the basics?
A mother shouldn't have to lay in the hospital, bawling with worry, over her boys, Brandon & Connor, keeping a roof over their heads.
All funds raised will go towards utilites, lot rent, trailer payments, etc. God willing, we will pay off their trailer, so that they always have a home.
