Ohio Ambassador of Music

I am setting up this campaign for my son, Josh Recker. He was specially nominated by his high school orchestra director to be a 2017 Ohio Ambassador of Music. This is a very special honor for him, his high school, the city of Fremont, and the state. He will be 1 of approximately 25 students representing violin, viola, cello and bass players from Ohio.
As a 2017 Ohio Ambassador of Music, Josh will join with his fellow orchestra, band and choir members in a two-week tour across Europe. These honor groups will be performing concerts in England, France, Switzerland, Liechtenstein, Austria, Italy, and Germany. This tour is designed by Voyageurs International, specializing in European music tours; and headed by Dr. Bruce Moss, Director of Bands at Bowling Green State University.
As with any trip out of the United States, the costs are extensive. For Josh to participate, we need to raise $6,500 to cover transportation, hotels, insurance, and camp fees. As his parents, Gerard and I, will be covering his meals, clothing and spending costs. In order to reserve his position, we must make first payment must be made by June 15th, 2016 and final payment November 15th, 2016.
Josh knows being selected as a 2017 Ambassador of Music is a huge honor and is willing to work hard for this opportunity; and will take being a representative very seriously. He also knows, that being a part of this, will be a huge asset when applying for college scholarships, applying to the Ohio State University and his goal of being accepted into its prestigious College of Veterinary Medicine.
We thank you from the bottom of our hearts for any assistance you can provide in making this opportunity a reality for Josh. Josh is also hoping to be performing for local churches and groups in return for support. If you wish to hear him play, we will gladly let you know dates of performances.
