Tiny Erin Blackwell Streetwise Help

Hi! My name is Beth and I am from Philadelphia. I am raising money to help my friend that was the 1984 documentay, Streetwise, filmed in Seattle by Mary Ellen Mark and Martin Bell.
Erin Blackwell (Charles) aka "Tiny", was small and beautiful, tough yet fragile. Growing up with an alcoholic Mother and an absent Father, Tiny worked Seattle streets at the tender age of only 13, often doing "dates" with men old enough to be her Grandfather. This is how Tiny got money for food and all the things most of us take for granted as kids. Through the years, Tiny had other hard times with drugs and men, but she survived a life many did not.
Tiny's story caught the attention of photographer Mary Ellen Mark, who featured her in a documentary (Streetwise) and photograhed Tiny and her family throughout her life. Despite all that she went through, Erin rallied. She went on, got off the streets, got clean, raised her 10 amazing children and was married. She escaped a horrible childhood and a nightmare past.
Now, Erin "Tiny" needs help. Her husband left her and her 10 kids in terrible debt. She needs $4,000 for her and her kids to get out of this temporary mess. The money will go to the following things:
- A Dental bill that is close to $600.00
- Her utility bill which is $1800.00
- A Bank loan that is $500
- Two credit card bills- cards she had no choice but to use for essentials.
- Her monthly car payment is $275.00 per month- she is a month behind and cannot be without a car.
- The rest will go for Erin and her kids to move to a better part of town. The area they are living is not very good for her kids, or very safe.
I want to add that Tiny did NOT ask for help, a mutual friend learned of her plight and suggested we as her friends (and some fans of Streetwise) help her.
Erin has been VERY self-sufficient since she got her life together and this is her first time needing any help. She is struggling like we all have from time to time.
Please give from your heart. This is a very proud woman who has been through very tough times and never let it break her. If you saw Streetwise, you will see a young girl it seemed like few cared about. Please lets show her people do care and help her through this tough time.
