*UPDATE* please see the Updates below to see what our papal Veronica endured last month while in the hospital. She is on the road to recovery now and we are helping her with that road.
You know my friend Veronica. She has RA. Bad. She just lost her apartment and is staying with friends until they move out of the state... NEXT MONTH. She had to leave her day job when she was diagnosed, but did not have health insurance and waited 5 months for insurance to kick in ...and so the auto-immune disease exponentially worsened. After struggles with waitlists, and then finally, a doctor!, but little luck with different treatments and therapy, she is now again waiting and hoping to get involved in a new med trial. She tries to support herself by telling jokes about her misfortunes.
WHICH ARE HILARIOUS, but aren't seeming to pay the bills... Or to help her out of bed in the morning. She is physically unable to do that on her own. She could benefit from a live in healthcare worker or a really smart big fluffy service dog that can pull her out of bed, and help her pick out and put on her tiaras, ...Bbbbut that will take another go fund me with a bigger goal. Let's start here to get her a roof over her head and a simple birthday present.
