Save Veteran From Homelessness
I'm retired and obviously on a fixed monthly income. What has put me so far behind is my car being unexpectedly totaled along with my dog (Heather) becoming sick and having to be put down (emergency surgery and ultimately kidney failure).
It was bad enough after my car was totaled. I took out a loan to purchase another car but haven't had the funds to place insurance and license plates on it so it sits. I figured I would save a little each month until I could do that. O.K.
Then Heather got sick and had to be put down. The testing, surgery and emergency room costs put me over the edge. No way out.
As of today, my carl loan at PayDay Loans (unexpectedly) has taken out EVERYTHING I owe them (including interest) from my bank account leaving me completely -negative with nothing to pay my already past dues bills and no food.
Augh!
My utilities are all scheduled for turnoff (electric today) and my rent is past due for last month and this month. I have no living relatives and no where to go. Even if I were to go to a homeless shelter, I have no $ available to rent storage to store my belongings. Everything will be confiscated or thrown away by the landlord.
Local assistance has done nothing. They either have no money available or they don't do my town. I continue to search but in my entire life, this is my worst nightmare.
