Hannibal's Hope

Donation protected
Hello! This is Hannibal, he is 12 years old and he is a part of our Family. He is in critical condition at the Town and Country Vet in Christiansburg, Va.
On Saturday Morning Hannibal didn't have his ball with him. I knew something was wrong. He started to decline quickly and his stomach bloated. We Rushed him to the Vet and found out that he had a twisted stomach and he was in bad shape. They said he probably would not make it through a surgery at his age but they said they could try putting a tube in him first and that would hopefully help straighten his stomach out.
At 3 am that night they asked to give him plasma because he was having bleeding issues. At 7 am they asked us to come in and say goodbye. They said he couln't lift his head and was unresponsive and that we should just put him down! But, when we got there he was responsive and lifted his head to me (his momma ) and his human Sister Mandy.. His Daddy (John) came in and Hannibal wanted to get up, He wanted his ball! We asked another doctor their for an opinion. I said that there has to be HOPE! Look in His eyes, He is not giving up! and Neither should we! Daddy and Mandy agreed that He did not look like he was giving up and there is HOPE in his eyes!
The other doctor told us that there was a slim chance for him but that it is expensive. We just want to save a member of our family! Wouldn't you?! So we told them that even if he dies at least we tried something! So we gave the go ahead for surgery.
They gave him a blood transfusion. They said they would have to see how he does and the see if he can have the surgery. After the transfusion. He got Up and WALKED on his own! They started prepping him for surgery. Today is the day after surgery and against All odds he made it through the surgery, ( they tacked his stomach so it wouldn't twist again) he woke up slowly and today has even peed on his own! There is HOPE! This is Hannibal's HOPE for another few years of playing with his ball and enjoying his human company!
We are waiting to hear how he is doing. When and if he will get to come home. All we can do is HOPE!
We now have about 5,000$ in Vet bills for all that Hannibal had to have done and is still going through. We are not rich. I am on dissability. John is the only one working and we have to admit we need some help with this one. So someone told me about Go fund me and here I am. I hope you will help with Hannibal's Hope! Every little bit is a big help!!
