Silla de Ruedas para Christopher!

Christopher Delgado es un jóven venezolano admirable. Tiene 16 años pero con la inocencia de un niño de 5 años. Estudia 5to. grado de primaria y es un atleta en formación.
Su mamá, Mariel, una guerrera, describe a Chris con fortaleza, colaboración, paciencia, alegría, inocencia, amor puro, energía, simpatía, inteligencia y excelente memoria. Así es Christopher, con 16 años, sus sueños son simples tener muchos globos, ir al colegio, poder comer dulces, chocolates, helados, pasear y jugar como todos los niños ♥
Sin embargo su condición no le permite hacer mucho y lo obliga a pasar la mayor parte del tiempo en cama o visitando médicos.

Pero... ¿cuál es esa condición?
Desde sus primeros años de vida, Chris ha usado silla de ruedas para desplazarse, el Mielomeningocele Lumbosacro (y mas recientemente supimos que el Autismo) con el que nació, afectó su potencial para caminar.
Sin embargo, usar silla de ruedas no es tan sencillo como parece.
Manipular sillas básicas o standard ha afectado severamente su columna contribuyendo a la Escoliosis Dextro-Convexa que inició por su falta de tonicidad o Hipotonía. De hecho, eleva el riesgo de fractura, ocasionándole en el 2015 fractura de tibia y peroné.
Hoy dia su Osteoporosis; sumada a la desviación de columna y luxación de cadera bilateral y a los anteriores diagnósticos, hacen que impulsar su silla le produzca gran agotamiento físico (aunque el lo oculta para poder seguir disfrutando en la calle) y problemas serios de salud.
No tener la silla de ruedas correcta le impide llevar su rutina escolar, médica y de recreación con normalidad.

Christopher y su mamá viven en Caracas, donde como muchos sabemos, es imposible conseguir la Silla de Ruedas que necesita (ya no las hacen por falta de material y no hay quien las importe por falta de divisas). El lugar más cercano donde encontramos la silla adecuada, es Cali, Colombia. Una silla de ruedas pediátrica y neurológica que proporcionará a Chris una correcta postura y confort en toda su etapa de
desarrollo; con sistema kit de crecimiento. 

La silla tiene un costo de USD$2.100.000
+ flete Cali-Caracas + el impuesto que debemos pagar para que pueda entrar a Venezuela, el cual está en aproximadamente USD$200 adicionales (el presupuesto de la silla tiene una vigencia de 30 días, y la el flete, solo 15 días)  calculado a Peso Colombiano: USD$ 1 = COP$ 2.950

Mariel no cuenta con los fondos para comprar la Silla (y menos en dólares), por eso... ¡NECESITAMOS TU AYUDA! Chris puede tener una mejor calidad de vida y TÚ puedes hacer parte de ese logro.

Christopher Delgado is an admirable young Venezuelan. He is 16 years old but with the innocence of a 5 year old. He´s in 5th grade and is an athlete in training.
His mother, Mariel, a warrior, describes Chris as a strong individual, collaborative, patient, joyful, innocent, pure love, energetic, full of sympathy, intelligent and with an excellent memory. That´s Christopher, a 16 year old with simple dreams: to have many balloons, go to school, eat sweets, chocolates, ice cream, walk and play like all children ♥
However, his condition does not allow him to do much and forces him to spend most of his time in bed or visiting doctors.

But ... what is that condition?
From his earliest years, Chris has used wheelchairs to get around, the Lumbosacre Myelomeningocele (and more recently we learned that Autism) with which he was born, affected his potential for walking.
However, using a wheelchair is not as easy as it sounds.
Handling basic or standard chairs has severely affected your spine contributing to the Dextro-Convex Scoliosis that started because of its lack of tonicity or Hypotonia. In fact, it raises the risk of fracture, causing in 2015 fracture of tibia and fibula.
Today, his Osteoporosis; coupled with bilateral column dislocation, hip dislocation and previous diagnoses, make pushing his chair ta great physical exhaustion (although he hides it so he can continue to enjoy it on the street) and serious health problems.
Failure to have the correct wheelchair prevents him from carrying a normal life: school, medical and recreational routine.

Christopher and his mother live in Caracas, Venezuela, where as many of us know, it is impossible to get the wheelchair that they need (they no longer make them for lack of material and there is no one to pay them for lack of currencies). The closest place where we found the right chair is Cali, Colombia. A pediatric and neurological wheelchair that will provide Chris with correct posture and comfort throughout his
development; with growth kit system.

The chair has a cost of USD $ 2,100 + freight Cali-Caracas) + the tax that we must pay so that it can enter Venezuela, which is in approximately USD $ 200 additional (the budget of the chair is 30 days , and the freight, only 15 days) calculated at Colombian Pesos: USD $ 1 = COP $ 2,950
