Help Maria Win Over Cancer

Please help raise funds for a dear friend, Maria Avramenko - Ukrainian children's poetess, to win over leukemia (blood cancer) and support her battle for life. Facebook Group Maria is in urgent need for allogenic bone marrow transplant and needs to raise 20,000 euros before September 1, 2015 in order to start life-saving therapy! Maria must survive to continue her kind and important mission-writing children's poetry and fairy tales to her beloved audience.  Over 500 children have already received a copy of Maria's first book and are eagerly expecting the next book with more poetry and fairy-tales.

She began writing her poems and drawing while in treatment for cancer of the lymph nodes in 2009-2010 at the National Cancer Institute of Kyiv. Maria's silent story .

For the second time in the past 5 years, Maria is fighting for life, this time – it is blood cancer (leukemia) with the need for an urgent allogenic bone marrow transplant.  One of the three Maria's sisters is genetically compatible with Maria to become her donor for this complex operation.
With such dramatically difficult economic situation in country, Ukraine does not have funds or facilities to help Maria. Citizens' contributions in Ukraine are not enough to quickly close the raising campaign. Now Maria must go back to hospital for urgent blood transfusion and supportive therapy, as her own body does not produce new healthy blood cells. Her healthy blood test are critically low , while abnormal cells started to grow to life-threatening levels. Bruises appear on their own, and a nurse cannot find veins on Maria's nands. Without treatment, leukemia can take Mari's life within a short period of time. 

A neighbouring state, Belarus, is ready to offer her the urgent treatment at a reduced cost -EUR105,000; Apollo Hospitals in India can accept Maria at EUR25,000 minimum plus travel and post treatment expenses. Maria and her friends have gathered over EUR15, 598.45;  yet they need help in raising EUR 19, 401.55 more for Maria to start life-saving treatment. We constantly look for  other options, yet they are limited.
