Follow His Call to Serve in Haiti

Delight yourself in the Lord; and He will give you the desires of your heart. - Psalm 37:4

My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me. - John 10:27  

Commit your work to the Lord, and your plans will be established. - Proverbs 16:3

God placed a deep desire in my heart to serve others when I was a young child.  He later called me to become a special education teacher and blessed me by placing me in schools that served students with hurting hearts from their many adverse childhood experiences.   Through teaching, He has taught me about unconditional love, forgiveness and the power of prayer.  He has tested my faith and patience, but also covered me with his grace by filling me with strength, courage and peace.  I am now able to step back and see his presence in everything I do and encounter.  

Over the past two years, God started opening my heart to the idea of a mission trip.  Every opportunity I came across never seemed to work out for me.  I took that as Him telling me that it wasn't the right time.  After remaining faithful in daily prayer for ten years, I have witnessed God enlarging my territory and guiding me. In this time, He has removed me from jobs I loved to jobs that made me question myself, he removed people from my life and brought more positive people into my life, he exposed me to new opportunities and organizations,  relocated me to a new city and blessed me continuously along the way.  It's beautiful to be able to look back and see how he truly has worked all things for the good and has turned tragedies and tests into testimonies.  He is so faithful.

We know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose. - Romans 8:28

Over the years, I have continued to remain hopeful in prayer and believe that the right opportunities will be presented to me in His time.  I am thrilled to share that God has opened that door by offering me a chance to serve children in Haiti by tutoring them, loving them and sharing His word.  Please help support me on my journey as I answer God's call to serve Him by serving others with the gifts He has given me.   Please add Haiti to your prayers and please pray for me as I take the next step to grow in my faith.   Blessings to all!  Thank you!!
