Lane Witt Memorial Fund and WOD

CrossFit is known for its close knit communities, but at East80 we consider ourselves much more than that, we consider ourselves family. At the beginning of this year our family suffered a heart breaking loss.
On Jan. 14, 2015, our East80 brother and local police officer, Danny Witt and his wife, East 80 member Courtney Witt, were blessed to bring into this world their first newborn son, Lane Witt. Unfortunately, Lane was born with serious health complications and passed into heaven at birth. In honor of him, we will be hosting this event on behalf of The Witt Family.
Response so far has been amazing. We would like to open this Memorial WOD to the rest of the Crossfit Community and the public at large. Please consider supporting this wonderful family in one of two ways:
1) Simply make a donation on this page. Any amount is appreciated and felt on a personal level.
2) If you own or are a member of a Crossfit Box, please consider joining us in this Memorial WOD on Saturday, June 20th, 2015 by participating in the same workout at your box as a fundraiser. You may use the link to this page to make donations now.

We would love to see pictures of your events as well so that Danny and Courtney may see that even those beyond our walls grieve with them.
All funds collected through this campaign will go directly to Danny and Courtney to cover the expenses they have incurred. Any amount collected beyond expenses will be donated by the family to a charity for children with Lane's condition.
