Noralie's Brain Tumor Eviction Fund

Donation protected
Hello, my name is Noralie. I am a single mother to an amazing, very energetic, intelligent and lovable 10 year old boy. My son and I moved to Spring Hill, TN almost 3yrs ago from Henrico, VA to be closer to family and make a fresh new start. I currently work as an Administrative Assistant for a wonderful small company and many of my co-workers have become like family.
In January I began experiencing dizzy spells and after an ENT evaluation and MRI of the brain, I was diagnosed with a 1.2 cm Acoustic Neuroma. In case you don’t know what an Acoustic Neuroma is, it is a non-cancerous brain tumor that grows on the eighth cranial nerve leading from the brain to the inner ear. As the tumor grows, it damages the hearing and facial nerves and can be fatal. Treatment options include watchful waiting, radiation and surgery. After consulting with three surgeons, the best option for me is retrosigmoid/sub-occiptal surgery which is scheduled for June 29th. This surgery is very scary for me for many reasons and there are many risks involved such as loss of hearing and possible facial paralysis. But the most overwhelming part of this whole journey is the cost. After talking with the billing department, I have been told that the costs could be as much as $100,000. My out of pocket expenses (max allowed per insurance) may be as much $10,000.
After the surgery and recovery, my goal is to provide support and hope to others who are diagnosed with an Acoustic Neuroma. If you would like more information about Acoustic Neuroma please click here:

If you or someone you know has had or currently has an acoustic neuroma and would like to share your story with me, you can email me at: [email redacted]
I have never been the type to ask for help and don’t want to be a burden to anyone. I plan things in advance, especially when it comes to life changing events. But this diagnosis and surgery are beyond my control. I will likely have to be off work for 4-6 weeks after the surgery and do not have enough Paid Time Off to cover the work I will miss for recovery. Any donations you can offer will be greatly appreciated and truly a blessing to me and my son. Even if you are not able to offer a monetary donation, I would greatly appreciate well wishes and prayers. Thank you.
