The Edison Park Chamber of Commerce is raising funds to add features to the Edison Park Playlot, 6755 N. Northwest Highway, which was recently identified for renovation through Mayor Emanuel’s Chicago Plays program.

The Chicago Plays! playground renovation program was launched in Spring, 2013 by Mayor Emanuel, who announced that over the next five years, the Chicago Park District would rebuild, repair and/or refurbish 300 playgrounds in communities across Chicago.  In 2014, 103 playgrounds were refurbished, and in 2013, 61 playgrounds were rehabilitated through the program.  The program invests $125,000 in new playground equipment.  Edison Park playlot is one of 77 playgrounds to be renovated this year.

The Edison Park Chamber of Commerce is raising additional funds to include features designed to honor the accomplishments of Edison Park community native and Chicago Blackhawks President & Chief Executive Officer, John McDonough.

Therefore, in order to enhance and add unique features, the Edison Park Chamber of Commerce has embarked on a fundraising campaign to raise $100,000. Please help us reach this goal and make the Edison Park Playlot one of the best in the city!
