Living Expenses Fund

My husband was laid off in March, and is currently awaiting disability assistance for mental health issues that were recently diagnosed. I took a part time job to try to help out financially, but it is simply not enough. We have a 9 yr old son and 3 yr old daughter, and need help to keep our rental and our phones turned on. The rent and phone bill (utilities are included) come to just over $900 each month. We get EBT for food, but there is literally no financial assistance in our area. My husband can't get unemployment, and the 3 months of help from a local veterans' services program ended in July. The Salvation Army & Catholic Charities can not help us (in our small town you need to be more than 2 months behind in rent and have a court-ordered eviction to apply), and we are desperately trying to stay in our home. We have no car, do not subscribe to any sort of cable/dish services, and the only internet in the home is our small data package on our phones. We live a very simple and frugal lifestyle, and just need to find a way to "get by" until my husband's disability application gets approved. I figure we can do that for 6 months if this money is raised, allowing me to search for a better job while saving what little I bring home every two weeks.  If this money is raised, once my husband's disability is approved, I will gladly pay it all forward, a little at a time.
