Keeping Troy CYO open for our kids

The Troy Youth Association (CYO Center) is a non-profit agency located in the South Central district of Troy, New York.  It has been in existence at its current site for fifty years. The agency serves low income families with After School Child Care, Summer Day Camp, Teenage Program and a special Challenge League basketball program. In 1985 the building was destroyed by a raging fire and the community then pulled together to have the facility rebuilt.  Now thirty years later the building is in desperate need of repairs and updates.  The heating system in the gym and game room area recently died and in order for the facility to open for the new school year and fall programs the system must be replaced.  Our programn feesare based on the parent's income and because of that there are absolutely no funds available to replace the heating unit.  Our mission is to provide a safe and affordable environment for the youth and no parent should have to worry about their child while working because they can't find affordable care.  We have estimated the  cost of the replacement of the heating unit at $10,000.  We are asking for your help to keep the Agency Center open.  All donations are tax deductable.
