Trev's Climate Reality Leadership

Donation protected

I'm incredibly proud to share that I've been accepted into the Climate Reality Leadership Corps training in Miami at the end of this month!

What's that?
It's a 3-day training that "brings together a select group of individuals committed to addressing the impacts of climate change, and implementing the solutions that will define us to future generations. It's  an opportunity to join a global network of leaders committed to solving the climate crisis."

Why?
I feel strongly about humanity's increasingly damaging  impact on the natural world; we simply cannot continue living the way we do without destroying the ecosystems that support us. I want to creative a positive impact and be part of the solution, and I'm asking for your support.

Tell me more.
I'll be learning directly from world-class scientists, strategists, grassroots organizers and communicators, and technical specialists – everything from the latest climate science and solutions, to a twenty-first-century skillset in storytelling, public speaking, social media networking, and media engagement.

Here are more details: http://www.climaterealitytraining.org/florida/

Climate change can be a divisive topic (especially the anthropogenic kind), but I believe a big part of the conflict is due to communication style and presentation. I'm not out to convert non-believers – but I am ready to offer my time, energy, and talents to the conversation. Our culture, Western culture, is fast approaching a tipping point – a shift in ecological perspective – but time is of the essence, and we all need to buy in.

I'd like to help us get there.

How much does it cost?
The Climate Leadership Corps training is free, but participants must fund their own travel and board. I've crunched the numbers, and $800 will cover flights, a bed and shower, and meals while I'm in Miami.

So, this is the part where I ask for your financial support.

Will you support me with a contribution? Every dollar makes a difference, and I'd be extremely grateful.

I've created some simple – but hopefully interesting – offerings for contributors (below), and will be sharing the journey via 10 "Acts of Climate Leadership" I've committed to completing in the months following the training.

No matter what, I believe the next 25 years on this planet are going to be extraordinary – a real pivot point in human history. I believe we can make it the "good" kind of extraordinary pivot, but only if we step up to the plate.

Thank you for reading, and thank you for being a part of my journey!
