AKIL's One-Man Musical "TRAPPED"

In June 2004, I performed my one-man show under the title of “The Weekend: Searching for ‘LOVE’” to a standing room only audience with no intention of ever doing it again. The response was overwhelming, and God spoke to me and let me know that the journey had just begun. To this day, people ask me when I am going to do it again.
Since the show debuted, I have devoted long hours to tweaking the show, written additional songs, and created a main story line with the new character CJ that connects the nine characters that I portray.
Most recently, my show, now titled "TRAPPED: The Weekend and the Search for "LOVE," was accepted in the New Works Series, sponsored by the Emerging Artists Theatre.
For a project of this magnitude to be actualized, there is a need for monetary support. As I pursue fulfilling my purpose in life to entertain, inspire, and educate, I solicit your financial contribution to help produce this festival showcase.
