Help Josh Become An Engineer

Hello,

  My name is Joshua Williams. I am a high school junior attending a Philadelphia public school. It has always been my dream to establish a career in engineering. In order to help make that dream a reality, I decided to apply to a summer AP/EA (Advance Placement/Early Admissions) program at Carnegie Mellon University.

  I recently received my acceptance letter to attend the Carnegie Mellon Pre-College program over the summer, but the cost of the program is a considerable amount. Also no financial aid was offered for the program, and my family is not able to pay the amount.

  I am really excited of the prospects of participating in the Carnegie Mellon Pre-College program because I see it as an opportunity to challenge myself in an intensive setting, while networking and honing my leadership skills with other young professionals. 

  The Leadership in the Pre-College program will allow me to participate and engage in lectures about core engineering subjects, to develop and enhance my leadership skills through collaborative teamwork and to test my potential as a future Lead Engineer.

  I believe that summer camps are the best opportunities for youth to have an unforgettable experience that will leave a lasting impression on our lives.
