Hello, my name is Tyler, I am a beautiful cream tabby cat and my humans think I'm about four.
Last October I was picked up by an animal charity as a stray and had entropian (which means my bottom eyelids turned in and my eyelashes scratched my eyes) in both eyes, it was very sore! The charity vet fixed that for me and they felt much better.
In December my new human mummy and her daughter came to look at some cats, they are very nice so I told them I wanted to go home with them, I also told them to take a tiny black kitten too, he's my friend and we play and cuddle together.
My new mummy's daughter is rather sick, so I spend most of my day on her bed or on her lap looking after her.
She noticed last month that my eyes were looking sore and the black bits that the vet said were scars had gotten much bigger and I had a little lump, so she told mummy and mummy took me to my vet. My vet is very nice, he is called Rudy and he's good for sniffing.
My vet gave mummy some antibiotic drops for my eyes, I hate having it done but I sit still because I know it's to make me better. But it didn't make it better. Mummy took me back to the vet and he referred me to a special eye vet. He's very nice, but he shone torches in my eyes whilst wearing weird goggles!
He said I have "corneal sequestrum" (at least I think that's what mummy said) and I need surgery on both of my eyes to remove the large black bits and I also need a corneal graft on my left eye (which is the worst). Mummy and her daughter got very upset when the vet told us that. You see, mummy works very hard but the insurance people won't insure my eyes, and mummy doesn't have enough money for my surgery.
If I don't have the surgery, my eyes will get much worse and I could lose them both.
Mummy says we need £2000 to cover the surgery alone, I hope you can help me.
Even if you can't afford to donate some money, please tell your friends, I know that everyone is as kind as my humans.
Thank you,
Lots of love
Tyler.

A note from Ann and Holly:
We knew Tyler had eye problems when we adopted him, but we were not expecting a £2000 surgery to come up. We don't want to say no to the surgery because the alternative is having Tyler put to sleep, or worse, if we leave it there is a very real chance his eyes could rupture.
He's a bright, happy, chirpy boy and he's so loving, even though he must be in a great deal of pain. Please, we would be incredibly grateful for anything you can spare so we can keep this gorgeous boy with us.
