Below is a list of the items that I am raising money for so you have a better idea of what your donation is helping me with!!
2x 100oz camelback bladders ($30 each)
headlamp (min 300 lumens) ($80-100)
raincoat (variable pricing)
seatpost rack (variable pricing)
seatpost bag (variable pricing)
water resistant backpack (around $100)
bear mace ($50)
"oversize luggage" fee- for taking my bike on the plane ($200)
food! lots of food! (estimate of $20/day for 30 days = $600)
money for motels **if needed** ($50 for 5 nights total = $250)
delorme satellite tracker ($370)
fee for satellite tracker ($65/ month)
**If I raise more money than I need for the trip, I will be donating the funds to the AZ section of the American Parkinson Disorder Association (APDA). The Physical Therapy program at NAU (where I am a student) works closely with this organization and I would love to donate any remaining funds to them!!**
Check out the Tour Divide website for maps, route info, and rules and regulations for being self-supported. I will be doing an Independent Time Trial (ITT) of the route, so I will need to follow all of the regulations in order for my time to be registered. www.tourdivide.org
