Dear Family and Friends and those friends who I have yet to meet. My name is Pam Osland and write to you today with the heaviest of heart. My daughter Rachael, her wonderful fiancé Rusty and her beautiful children, my granddaughter Lauren and grandson Michael were in a car accident this past weekend in Lexington, KY. Rusty and Lauren were called home to our Lord on Sunday and this afternoon Michael joined Lauren and Rusty after sharing his organs so other children can experience the love and happiness that both Lauren and Michael enjoyed while with us.
My daughter Rachael has a long road ahead of her, with multiple surgeries and recovery time that will prevent her from working. Physical wounds will heal, but the scar the last few days will leave on all of us has yet to be realized.
As we come together to celebrate and remember the lives of Rusty, Michael and Lauren, I am reaching out to all of you to ask for your support to help Rachael heal and honor the memory of her son and daughter and her fiancé Rusty.
All funds raised through this GoFundMe will go to a memorial fund set up in the name of Lauren and Michael Osland with all donations going to help offset the cost of funerals and ongoing medical care for Rachael. Any support you are able to provide is deeply appreciated.
This past weekend brought with it an unimaginable tragedy to Rachael, her brother Aaron, myself and our family – as well as the family and friends of Rusty Johnson – please share your stories and memories below so the bright light of laughter and innocence that Jesus gives to every child continues to shine bright for Michael and Lauren through the memories and stories of those who were blessed enough to call them family and friends.
Please continue to keep Rachael, Michael, Lauren and Rusty in your prayers and remember to tell your children everyday how much you love them.
