The next Butler EP is coming this summer!
In April, we'll be locking ourselves in the studio for two 12-hour days to record the next Butler EP! M80 Recording Studio in Purcellville, VA is an AMAZING location, one of the best studios I've ever been in. I can't wait to share these songs with you, most of which you've already heard live! Why not a Kickstarter?
You may wonder why I chose GoFundMe over Kickstarter. Here's my honest answer: with working full time and being married now, I don't have the time to create and ship out a bunch of prizes. I know many of you are just wanting some new music from me, and believe me, I WANT to just make new music! GoFundMe is a simple and streamlined crowd-funding platform that just makes sense and is easy to donate through.
So what's in it for me?
I wanted to make this super simple. If you want new music from me, that's what you're going to get! EVERYONE who gives, no matter the amount, will recieve a digital copy of the EP. If we have enough leftover to make physical CD's, and you want one, you will also receive that! I want to invest my time and efforts into making GREAT music, rather than trying to make a bunch of prizes/rewards that you don't really care that much about.
Where's the money going?
Here's an exact breakdown of the EP costs:
-$600 for 1st day 12-hour studio block.
-$600 for 2nd day 12-hour studio block.
-$800 for Mastering costs and digital distribtuion costs (iTunes and Spotify).
-Any amount we have after $2000 will go to physical distribution (CD's) and merch (t-shirts, stickers, etc.).
