The Colmcille Trail Project

In the past twelve months we have all realised the importance of local amenities, particularly walkways and trails. The Colmcille Trail in Milford is one of the best and most scenic walks in the wider Milford area. We need your help to do some repairs to the trail to ensure it is accessible by everyone in this, the 1500th anniversary year of the legendary saint himself, St. Colmcille. The trail is currently in a bad state of repair but can be improved to ensure everyone can enjoy this historic walking route. 

All money raised will go towards improving the drainage and surface on the off-road part of the trail between Kilwarry and Ballygay, along the shores of Lough Colmcille. 

This is a joint fundraising initiative by Milford & District Resource Centre, Milford Tidy Towns and Mulroy Drive.
