Victoria and Michael became husband and wife on June 2nd of 2012 and were excited to take the next steps to becoming parents. After trying on their own without sucess for a year, they decided to consult with the specialists at Houston Fertility Institute in Katy under the care of Dr. Jonathan Kim. It was then that they learned about their infertility issues.
The news rocked Tori and Mikie, but they continued on with treatment in hopes of one day being able to hold their miracle baby. The two have undergone countless tests, procedures, and needle sticks, 2 egg retrievals and 4 embryo transfers, but were still left unable to conceive. Heartbroken and drained (both emotionally and financially), they were faced with the difficult question of what to do next. They decided to not give up on their dreams of becoming parents and pursue other avenues.Their next option was to look into surrogacy. 
As fate would have it, an experienced surrogate was not far away. My name is Jade Clark Ohl and I have the honor of being Tori and Mikie's Surrogate. I had previously watched and cheered on Tori from the side lines thoughout her infertility treatment, and we have now started our journey together. After psychological evaluations, more medical testing and prodecures, and contracts, we are now fast approaching our transfer date of May 7th, in which 2 of the remaining 6 frozen embryos will be placed inside their hopeful new home for the next 9 months (my uterus!) . As excited as we are to embark on this journey, the financial burden of infertility treaments has begun to pile up for Tori and Mikie. Insurance will not cover the cost of infertility treatments, which can be very expensive. The number one barrier to infertility treatment is cost.
