Every parent’s worst nightmare has become a reality.
Trevor, Bobbi, Zach and Kennedi Hay just purchased a house within the last year and things were perfect, until January 3rd when their 4 year old daughter, Kennedi was diagnosed with stage 3 Kidney Cancer.
Kennedi is an active, energetic, spunky 4-year-old preschooler who is full of life, love and happiness. It all started on January 3rd, when Kennedi started having severe stomach pains. Bobbi rushed her to the Emergency Room thinking it was her appendix. That is when they did an ultrasound and discovered tumors. She was then transported by ambulance to Children’s Hospital in Minneapolis. This is where they were told she has Stage 3 Kidney cancer and will have surgery this Friday to remove as much of the cancer as they can, this means removing her right kidney completely and a possible lymph node in her abdomen before she starts Chemotherapy. She will have to stay in the hospital for up to one week following her surgery for recovery if not longer. It is undetermined at this time how long she will need chemotherapy.
We are looking for open hearts to help assist the Hay family in this overwhelming event with a fund to help financial needs. Financial burden is always on our minds but more so when someone is sick, let us help lessen that worry, so they can focus on Kennedi's recovery and their family. By donating you will be relieving some of the worry to help cover the incoming medical expenses. The Hay's will be experiencing loss of income from not working in order to care for Kennedi as well as travel expenses.
