The Bear, a short film

My goal is to raise enough money to adapt William Faulkner's story "The Bear" into a short film. This has been a dream project for quite some time, and I am enthusiastic about getting started with the production process.
Faulkner's story focuses on Ike McCaslin, a young boy who comes of age among the hunting party that annually hunts for Old Ben, the bear who has ravaged the woods and countryside.
With your help, I will be able to purchase and/or rent equipment such as: camera lenses, props, shoulder mounts, glidecam, dolly, and a camera crane. And, let's face it, I'll need a bear costume.
Moreover, funds will be used for film festival submissions, and to cover any unforseen miscellaneous expenses. I'd also like to keep my cast and crew well fed!
